Oliver Postgate (1925–2008) was a celebrated British writer, animator, and producer, best known for his work on iconic children’s television series. He co-created beloved shows such as “Bagpuss,” “The Clangers,” “Ivor the Engine,” and “Noggin the Nog” through his production company, Smallfilms, which he founded with his collaborator, artist and puppeteer Peter Firmin.
